Korkut Uygun, PhD

Korkut is an Assistant Professor of Surgery (bioengineering) at the Harvard Medical School (HMS)/ Massachusetts General Hospital, where he focuses on biopreservation and tissue engineering of the liver. His research has been granted over $10M in federal funding. He received his PhD from Wayne State University before coming to HMS in 2006.

Bote Bruinsma, MD, PhD

Bote received his PhD in Experimental Surgery and Bioengineering, which involved the development of various novel organ and cell preservation techniques. This research was performed at the Center for Engineering in Medicine at the Massachusetts General Hospital of the Harvard Medical School. He also has an M.D. degree from the University of Amsterdam.
